Many of us who grew up in Christian households were taught a specific understanding of Christ’s message, one that often emphasized worship, doctrine, and rules. But what if the true message of Christ is broader, more expansive? What if it is rooted in a deeper spiritual truth that transcends rigid structures and invites us into a new understanding of oneness? This is the Law of One, a concept that Christ lived and demonstrated, but many of us find it difficult to fully embrace due to the fear of new perspectives.
The Struggle to Accept New Truths
For many Christians, there’s an internal battle when it comes to accepting new information, especially when it seems to contradict long-held beliefs. We are reminded throughout scripture to be wary of false teachings, and this warning can create resistance to exploring new ideas. However, it’s important to remember that Jesus Himself didn’t command us to worship Him, but rather to follow His teachings. These teachings, if we look deeper, revolve around the Law of One—a unity between us, God, and all of creation.
The idea that God is separate from us is a misunderstanding. How can we be separated from the Creator who is in all things, including us? Christ taught that the Kingdom of God is within us, and this profound truth aligns perfectly with the Law of One. We are part of God, and God is part of us. There is no separation.
The Influence of Paul and Christianity
As I delve deeper into these ideas, I can’t help but question the role that the apostle Paul played in shaping Christianity as we know it today. It was Paul’s teachings that formed much of what became organized Christianity. While his contributions to the early church were significant, many of us are now realizing that some of his interpretations may have diverted us from Christ’s original message.
When Jesus spoke, He emphasized love, unity, and the inherent divinity within each of us. But as history unfolded, it seems that many of us have, unknowingly, followed those who metaphorically "threw stones" at Jesus, opposing His message of oneness and unconditional love. As seekers of truth, we must not be afraid to challenge the beliefs we’ve inherited, especially if they no longer resonate with our inner understanding of God.
Living as Representatives of God
We are all children of God, created to experience, grow, and learn within this earthly existence. Our purpose here isn’t to judge or condemn others, but to embrace the lessons life brings us. Every day offers an opportunity to learn, to open our hearts more, and to deepen our connection with the divine within us and around us.
Personally, I’m no longer attached to the illusions of this world. My focus is on serving God in the best way I can, knowing that this life is temporary, and we are here by choice. We chose to experience, to learn, and to grow in God’s infinite love.
Growing Through Love and Openness
The key to spiritual growth is an open heart—a willingness to receive new information and new understandings. Christ’s message invites us to expand our awareness and to recognize that love is the ultimate truth. The more we open ourselves to this love, the more we align with the Law of One, and the closer we come to embodying Christ’s teachings.
In the end, it’s not about following rigid doctrines or fearing new ideas; it’s about embracing the divine connection we all share. As we grow in love, understanding, and unity, we fulfill the true message of Christ, which is, and always has been, the Law of One.
