Asa

Peace and Love to you wherever you are in the world. I know it's been a rough year for most, especially if your field of work is a direct contact sort of environment. So my prayers go out to you and your loved ones during this transitional global pandemic season. To the doctors and nurses working in hospitals and emergency rooms, you are my heros and heroines, and especially to the caretakers and high officials who have no choice but to stay in position when everyone else goes home. For me, it has definitely been challenging considering, I do mostly face to face contact because I love to perform music, inspire my fans, and entertaining happens to be my God given gift, and my favorite way to reach a connection to the world. I have been graced to be a pioneer of a booming industry, as a young hip hop talent, daring to make a difference with my voice and passion for a better future. As a Nigerian American, I am a 1st generation American citizen.

By the tender age of 21 as a graduate of Theatre Arts and Communications, I sought out to Africa on a mission to connect with my ancestors land in Nigeria, and discover my purpose. I stood on stages and spoke of a future where young African Americans and Indigenous Africans can come together and learn from one another. I happen to be a bridge between the two cultures because of my upbringing by two indigenous Igbo parents who raised us in a country they knew nothing about. Without making this a long and drawn out message, I am crowdfunding to gain support from my 'true music fans' who appreciate my journey and see my value. I need to raise $100,000 by September 30, 2021 to create a global documentary, and promote good independent music and content, and get the right equipment to set up a major music and film studio, which I intend to use as a training facility to empower youth who already look up to me for support in my ancestral home land.

I have always been a youth counselor, and a mentor, with successful mentees, who I am proud to watch as they rise to their greatness. I have been invited to speak at University classrooms, and have lent my talent to rooms filled with politicians, delegates, and even high level church officials. I spent most of my life living for others and this pandemic crisis woke up a sleeping giant in me. I even learned that my story was shared in a book used in Universities to teach about Young, Gifted and Talented West Africans making a difference. As I have spent the past few years, trying to invest back in me, learning new skills to take on more of my career responsibilities, accepting the role as an Independent female hip hop anomaly yet to be discovered. It's beyond me because I have a commitment to the legacy of my late brother and former partner who was murdered by violence years ago, as well as to build a synergy between myself and upcoming youthful fans. I want to give back to the world, the talent that God has deposited in me, and I need your financial support to continue in these efforts.

As the old African proverb says, "Drops of water makes a mighty ocean". I am thanking you in anticipation. May God favor you in all your endeavors.

Hi, Angel! Join our mailing list for crowdfunding updates!

As an Indie hip hop and afrobeat talent, as well as film content creator, I have to gain up to 100,000 fans within the next year to maintain as a professional in such a crowded and abrasive industry. I am looking for my 1000 True Fans to have direct access to me personally, and grow with my movement, to preview my upcoming projects, and get free gifts and tickets to my concerts and events. We are planning a 2022 festival to fully launch the movement AHHRM the Youth with Truth which will be a series of concerts and workshops to empower the youth and share clean Indie music in a safe environment. The focus will be on what I call the Afrocentric Hip Hop Renaissance Movement. This will include a documentary to share the stories and trials of our journeys as we have crossed cultures over the past 20 years to the current global industry today. I am looking forward to igniting a new passion for raw music and talent of a less commercial nature. This group is for those of us dedicated to keeping the hip hop culture alive and relevant and a creative and safe environment for our children's upbringing. I am looking forward to meeting you. Peace and Blessings from Lady MC, Queen of Afrocentric Hip Hop.

The Ides of March No Fear

Happy March 15th! Historically known as a mythical day of misery and doom, for me, it’s my late brother and bestie the Prophet Lo’s birthday, or Atulegwu Amaraegbulem Ahaghotu! A great man who lived each day to free his chi and send love out to his community! The tragic death of my brother was a real wake up call and a catalyst for awareness to the reality of violence in our black community in US.

Alo was good to the youth and a good son and brother and especially a great Dad to his one daughter with a Mom who was post pardon that has continually suffered from crack addictions. I knew the youth were destined to spiral down into crime and violence if we didn’t use our platforms correctly to curb the violence in our communities. I have been doing my own part to instill love and mentorship in the lives of our youth. People in my industry shunned on me for wanting to be a positive force but I didn’t care. I stayed true to my values and never sold out to become a derogatory image in this industry. I remember being asked by Diddy to be more like Kim and by Nigerian industry leaders to be more like the hood rappers in US.

I always represented myself as a culture queen from the streets raising up my flag of African pride. Now I am becoming a force of energy and inspiration on the journey to be a spiritual guru. I have been a seeker since I was a child always questioning and looking for the true God. We have to remember what we did as children to get closer to our truth. I always cared about the planet, astrology and numbers intrigued me! But the Pastors couldn’t answer my inquiries. Now I am very aware and in tuned and can tell others a lot about themselves and I am usually spot on. I am able to help others navigate their problems and even inspire a new business idea for their personality and experiences.

So that’s what I am working for now. I am expanding my energy with love for my world and human beings on the planet. I am available to consult now as well as to entertain. I am using my platform to raise the vibrations of others and free your chi because in this new world, we can only afford to live in the true essence of our spiritual divine inner being.
Don’t force the vibes. Free your chi.

I am THAT I am! So what’s THAT for you?

I Be Lady

I am that which I wish to become!

I am the fulfillment of my destiny here on earth!

I am the victory of light itself!

I am a commanding presence moving in and conquering everywhere I move!

I am the victory of life over death!

I am THAT I AM!

And that’s just it, Beloved! It is your duty to fill in the space and figure out what THAT is. No one else’s job but you. I backed away from stepping into a platform of speaking and sharing my knowledge as a truth seeker and spiritual being on this planet due to “following others outside of myself” and religious programming, pop culture, respect for authorities, and my elders of my kin folk and community.

Let me feel free to tell you this today: you can choose to listen to whatever you want to but it’s not your job to impress that on anyone. The sooner we figure this out we can be mentally, emotionally and spiritually free. We can let go of self judgement and stereotypes that we not only let others place on us but we place them on ourselves due to this unconscious programming.

Well I am not being me to offend anyone who does not understand things I have learned and am processing for my own life. I have decided to use my platforms fully for entertainment which is educational and enlightening. I am a work in progress. But what I do know for a fact is that I am very relevant and inspiring and very influential no matter what the social media numbers say.

It was my choice to be more private in my journey as I was dealing with my own personal growth and spiritual understanding and making decisions to separate from traditional beliefs and unconscious programming. But even that is just ego and a bit of self sabotage. On the spiritual journey a part of it may be overcoming your ego and self sabotaging patterns. This is what we should embrace rather than shy away from.

The bottom line being you are the key to your greatest destiny. You are the key to becoming THAT wish you wish to become. I encourage you to tap into your higher self by surrendering to your Chi, by taking back your power and seeking inner guidance rather than outer comforts. Put you first and give love back to yourself. That’s how you find your way. I’m my case I discovered that the thing I was feeling I was not good enough for or qualified shall I say, is exactly what I should be doing. And that’s why I am sharing my truths in hopes to spark something uniquely great in you.

Happy ThanksGiving and Gratitude Giving Day Worldwide!

Greetings, Beloved!

How are you? I truly hope you’re in great spirits already today!

These days…some of us may be living in abundance but I am aware there is so much happening around that may be devastating to many. I am always in the spirit of gratitude for the abundance of blessings and opportunity to be among the living. As an MC/DJ and Afro Renaissance Mama, I am a survivor, an overcomer, a researcher and teacher, journeying and becoming a spiritual consultant, focusing in energy healing arts. So, I will be sharing more stories with you soon. It's time you will hear more of this voice of freedom and love to all. Don't Just Follow Me, Free Your Chi! New podcast in the works and I have to join monetizing platforms like Patreon and GoLive for y'all on the regular! Oh Wow! This should be fun! Not only am I entertaining on the mic, but I am known to be a bit of a riot in person. I just got big energy! Please look out for my messages and posts so we can grow this together. So, you get me, I can't do it without you! Although I am going to continue and still I am embracing everyone’s goodwill and support as I aim to further my initiatives.

I intend to heal the world from trauma by entertaining with happiness and great energy! I am starting a radio station in the coming year and live streaming events and more content for YouTube shows. We are bringing conscious and uplifting content and music to heal your energy and free your mind.

Today, It’s Thanksgiving in America! I just wanted to send you this message to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving and what I wish to call Gratitude Giving since that’s such a powerful way of being thankful. This is the time when everybody is gathering together usually. Some may take holidays to visit family or just take small vacations away. But family can be a challenge around this time of year. But we can try to show up different and get different response rather than trying to control others with your good advice! Focus on gratitude and goals instead of your feelings about what’s going on around. Here are some tips to get through this Holiday period in a great way.

You’d be surprised how simple it is when you give it to God. I mentioned in a prior blog post about gratitude journaling, and if you have been or even if you start practicing this by now you would realize how grateful you are for your family members, even though you argue or have differences. Then it affects how you react to situations if you are already in a state of forgiveness and empathy. Realize that no one is perfect and you’re right in your own mind and they are right in their own mind. Begin to see things more objectively. Lisa from Matrix Unveiled podcast always talks about seeing things objectively. Each one of us has a different story or means of understanding things but at least it makes us special in our uniqueness. We are all on our own journeys like a spider web!

So in dealing with our loved ones, let’s empathize and let the judgement go. As I point at you 3 fingers point back at me. Just be grateful to be alive to experience this moment. And live in hope for the next moments to be even greater. This is really going to be life changing.

Just try this meditation.  Take few minutes a day. You want to get in a relaxed state, breathe, find your peace or personal heaven within. Focus on a desired outcome and then in your mind act as if what you desire is happening. Then gratitude shows up in your subconscious if you repeat this more and more. This actually leads to actualizing a better understanding of faith. Gratitude is the ultimate state where the body and mind can begin to receive…so it means you are in a state of allowing God. So open your heart…and wonders shall see. I am learning this too and it really does work. More posts and blogs coming soon.

I wish great blessing and abundance comes your way this new season. Happy Thanksgiving and Gratitude Giving everyone.

Please remember to click on the link to check out my new IG post. New music, podcast and vlog releasing soon.  More life and More Blessings in 2023!

Health Tips From a Friend

A friend sent me this message and I decided to share it with you all reading considering it's tips on maintaining good health. In this health challenging season we can't have enough reminders about things that keep us healthy since prevention is better than cure. Also, I can recommend Naturopath doctors and health coaches that I work with to maintain my good youthful energy. This was also sort of comical for me, so I hope you enjoy.

Health Tips for the conscious beings of the African Diaspora.

1. Coconut and groundnut are sexual drive enhancers.

2. Carrot and cucumbers are sperm boosters!

3. Swimming enhances your memory.

4. Dancing reduces stress, S€x is also good but do not abuse it.

5. Exercise is a life extending therapy.

6. Frequent talking with enthusiasm is an anti-aging.

7. Masturbation can cause eye defect, weakness of penis and reduces your libido from 50yrs

8. Congested bucal cavity is potentially hazardous, brush your teeth morning and night.

9. Beans is an anti-cancer, you can remove the skin if it gives you trouble after eating.

10. Eating smoked fish is suicidal because it is double monoxide and could elicit cancerous cells.

11. Beef is very dangerous to those above 40yrs.

12. Milk is not really ideal for those who experience noisy and stomach upset after drinking it. Such indicates milk fermentation in the system.

13. Soft drinks and juices shouldn't be abused. You can prepare your own juice with fruits. Don't accumulate synthetic sugar in your body.

14. Make watermelon your companion as it cleanses your liver and kidney, and also enhances their functions.

15. Eat apples, carrot, onion and other vegetables everyday.

16. Cease your breathe for at least one minute when people cough or sneeze, especially in an enclosure or in a public transit.

17. Washing of hands regularly is a major way of preventing some infections, especially viral.

18. Garlic clears the throat and is antibiotics and antiviral plant.

There you have it. Mostly common sense and not only COVID focused, but it just sparked my interest and it has good reminders listed. I am actually over the COVID health warnings and the particular information they choose to share. But I would say just keep up with boosting your immune system, wash hands ALWAYS and consistently, vaccine if you choose, or not, keep up the steams every other day, and avoid crowded areas inside closed spaces! I would never want to take away your freedom of choice.

Peace, Love and Light, and I wish you blessings day and night!

Are You Really Forgiving if You Haven’t Let Go?

Such a question needs to be pondered upon before answering.  On the spiritual growth journey, we learn about the valuable life lessons on forgiveness and holding onto grudges. We open our mouth to forgive others verbally and meditate on forgiveness to those we could never reach from the past or even who passed on. We learn how to say we forgive others and even ourselves but do we really forgive?

In my forgiveness journey I have forgiven my abusers or friends who disappointed me, and even the family members who violate and cross that borderline time and time again. I have practiced being the bigger person so many times over that I thought I had perfected the craft.  I had a recent situation that proved me wrong and it has been a learning lesson. I blocked a friend out of my life and have run into them and they were always willing and open arms the few times we happened to come into the same space. We have similar friends now and even many I introduced them to. I had not unblocked my old friend and would occasionally see or hear of them through other common friends. There have been no bad stories and things have been going well for them, and as much as they seem even narcissistic to me, still their progress and success is evident.

I recently got the opportunity to spend quality time with my friend and finally got to express my hurt and felt the empathy and we exchanged a hug.  And then I was able to enjoy a night with my friend and have no harsh feelings or resentment of sharing that space with them. And I was reminded that we are all human and learning ourselves in this human existence.

I just want to encourage you to figure out anybody who has offended you, and please take the time to meditate on this alone and get clarity. It may be that thing that is blocking your progress. It may be the thing blocking you from moving forward. This is a Spiritual Universe and the key to your success lies in your happiness. I want you to truly be happy so please do your best and let go the pain and hurt. Free yourself today and forgive.

Welcome to Fall, Happy New Month!

Peace, Love and Light. I just want to take the time out to honor the Most High, our own source of creation.

This is a new month which opens up the fall season in the US and ends the summer. I don't really like the sound of that because I am a sun lover myself.

However we have to embrace all of nature and love on the Universe for all that is available to us right. You got that right.

I am sending out love and good energy to you at the top of the month when the children are meant to go back to school and traffic is set to go bonkers in major cities. As if it isn't enough for parents to have to be concerned with settling their children back into learning, while still there is so much concern for health with this Covid-19 virus news scares and incident reports. Parents are even deciding in large numbers to home school, and not even take any chances between the choice to be vaccine refusers and just the fact that it's not even a solid solution, and may possibly be a major health risk immediately or in the near future. So much concern.

There is nothing we can not work through. This is the time to resort to our inner joy, peace and strength.

This is the time to meditate in direct connection with the truth. Remember the news is only part of it and always there is more to be seen and heard. So don't stop there, so your own searching and seeking. Investigate things your being told.

The thing that you most want to do or that class you want to take, this is your season. Make sure to be yourself and take time out for you.

The amount of lives that have been lost may often be disheartening or heart breaking. Please don't allow this to stop your flow state or cause you to spiral into depression. Instead focus on the best parts of them. Use it as a reminder to live alive. It's not enough to settle and find appreciation in everything in life.

Gratitude is the attitude and recite your affirmations.

These are just very practical steps for anyone, regardless of religion or social status, to get aligned with your true self, and find that inner happiness we all seek.

Don't forget to stream my songs. I would appreciate the love and support if you click on the Market and support with your purchase of $25 for my EP or just buy some merchandise if you have already gotten the album for free on streaming sites. It is a fact that talent is only as good as the crowd feedback. So you are welcome. Plus, It is recorded when someone purchases, and I am looking for my 1000 Beloved Angels that want to encourage my musical expression to continue. Thank you in advance for your support.

Are We Free From the Covid-19 Virus?

It’s been a year and half since this world we know has changed completely in unimaginable ways. I mean, a global pandemic is announced after several people are hospitalized and many die from a virus spreading rapidly through the air. So many things have changed in the world. So much conspiracy going on. I feel it. But one thing is for sure. The virus is going nowhere and everywhere fast. I would advise you to educate yourself before taking the vaccine and definitely avoid any booster they mentioned. What’s done is done. We need clean air and we need it on the go.

The Air and Surface Pro (ASP) provides such documented protection verified by certified FDA labs and numerous research institutions. Let's be clear, the Air and Surface Pro (ASP) is not a machine. The ASP uses "ActivePure Technology" and the accompanying research results creates a comfort level that traditional "air filtration machines" can't provide.

Did you know that NASA created the ActivePure Technology that maintains a completely sterile environment inside the International Space Station? An FDA compliant lab just discovered that the ActivePure Technology eliminates 99.96% of the airborne SARS CoV2 virus within 3 minutes, which is the COVID 19 illness before it gets in the body.

The GREAT MC Podcast in the Making!

Hey Angels! It’s been a minute since my last post. I think I been taking this thing too serious. When I write, I tend to go on and on about a topic. Then I say to myself…guess this could have been a podcast, cause who has time to read all this?! Yes, if I can’t keep it real with myself then who else can I be real with? These long letters have got to stop! Lol!

I have been asked my so many over the years to start a podcast or a radio show. Telling stories and sharing ideas and concepts to help others get through in life has always been a natural born talent. I guess that is why I am a song writer.

I have already learned how to produce myself and edit using DAW software, so I am in a space to produce myself. However with discipline and focus, I will soon have my podcast up and running. This is one of the tasks off my bucket list. To use my skills that I paid for lessons with Recording Connections a while back! I will soon be announcing my new podcast release! I will be discussing the highlights being a Nigerian American, a Pioneer MC and 1st Lady of Naija Hip Hop scene for over 20 years being dual citizen living in both worlds! Stay tuned!

Tapping in To The Supernatural

Hey Fam!

It's been over a week since my last post. Took some family time and growth time off briefly to plan and create. I have also been learning a new skill to enhance my performances. I will do whatever it takes to improve and grow. I came up with an idea for a podcast to share with my audience, but also as a teaching opportunity as a youth advocate and mentor. I decided to share my own stories and experiences, if this can be of help or inspire another young person. I haven't done all the right steps all the time. I am far from perfect. In fact I am know to be extremely humble. I still have not realized my full potential.

One thing I do know is that I have always desired greatness for my life. I need wanted to have an ordinary existence. I never would be happy just doing a day job or owning a business. I would never be satisfied if I was not living a life of supernatural existence. I am supernatural. I feel Supernatural. I was created to be like the Supernatural. My siblings and I watched super heroes and made costumes to wear as we played around the house. I got rushed to the hospital at age 9 because I put a medal object in my ear to obtain supernatural hearing and it went too far. I was one of those kids who believed the shows on TV and wanted to be inside there. Marvel comics was the best, Wonder Woman and Supergirl was me for sure. I also loved Bionic Woman back then.

I read the Bible as a young girl, and always saw myself in the greatest characters who were known tomato a difference. As I grew older I found a connection to African Queens. I feel I am the reincarnation of Amina or Nzinga. The interesting thing is that I am naturally the most bashful in the family. I am truly modest and only speak to those who connect with my spirit. Otherwise I watch and listen or remove myself. If I can not physically do so, then you might catch me zoning to the other planet where I live in my head. Thats why my siblings would say that I am spaced out. I become non responsive when spoken to because I am somewhere else already, just not physically.

The point is my thinking is just different. I was always ahead of my time with my music career. My vision for Africa to unite with hip hop to educate our youthful black Americans, and dispel the miseducation. I always had pride in my African heritage although born in US. I started rocking my natural hair and gele when performing. My sibling group, the SOURCE Intl Clique back then in the 90s already started recording and performing songs with Afrobeat hip hop fusion. I even walked my record directly into the Shrine to meet Femi Kuti because his father's music was used to honor him and his movement. That song was nominated for NEA award and I never officially sold or released it. I was never signed to an official label and I received the 1st NEA Award for Best Hip Hop in a Male/Female category. I know it's raw talent but it's also favor from God as I am becoming more aware of the Supernatural in my life.

I believe my voice to be that of a messenger because without any millionaire inheritance, label support, or major distribution, I have accomplished global achievements in my career, yet I am probably so modest that upon meeting me you wouldn't even realize I was a global talent and a force to be reckoned with. That is all from God, not me. I guess thats why they call it alter ego after all. I don't practice anything dark, this is all coming from the light of God and the Supernatural activity happening in my world.

On that note, I intend to start sharing more via just speaking into the microphone, record it, produce it, and feel free to share it with the world. My hope is to inspire others. So many are out here seeking fetish means to make their voice heard by all. How can we seek darkness when we were created by the light. I want my young people to do better with this Hip Hop culture. I want to see us tap back in to the Supernatural, and stop seeking fame. Let go of greed and desperate acts that hurt other people. I do believe one should be competitive, but in a healthy way. I can be better than I once was by growing and investing in my skills. I don't have to focus o how to eliminate him or her just to make a way for me. Not if I am different already. Stop being a copy copy, or copy cat. Be original, and only learn from the players of the great stories you learn, but if Beyonce is still alive, don't come out being another Beyonce. She tapped into historical queens too, so do that. In history you can find your future. Immitators are whack. Like the great DMX said, Do You and always and forever, put God first no matter what. That way your decisions will be influenced by good and light, and take you further. Darkness and Fear can only bring depression. Thats another topic all together for another day. I wish you Peace, Love and Light. Remain blessed.
